Unions ask President Basescu not to promote 2008 budget law – Adrian Ilie – Ziua – read here -“The leaders of 4 union confederations - Cartel Alpha, the National Union Association, the National Confederation of Free Unions in Romania and the Brotherhood and Confederation of Democratic Unions in Romania - asked the President not to promulgate the law on next year's budget because of lacking the unionists' amendments. The President promised to arrange them a meeting with the government's representatives in January 3 so that they would agree on a solution“.
