The duncesSorin Rosca Stanescu – Ziua – read here -
New ghost is haunting the media and striking back to the whole society: the rich journalist. The pretext of it is Bogdan Chirieac, a so-called case. They claim a journalist is not a journalist anymore if he is wealthy. It is now Bogdan Chirieac's turn to be pointed to and ritually sacrificed in the public square for something as dreadful as making a fortune. How can one be a journalist, if one isn't poor ? How can one get, apart from wages, money by capitalizing shares in the media field ? How can one be equal to the scholars, the great actors or sportsmen, to all those who have substantial gains due to their authorship rights ? Another dramatic dilemma fetched by the same ghost sounds like this: how can one be a rich journalist and also gain by doing business that has got nothing to do with the press ? And the fourth foolish thing has reached the market on the same occasion: Is a businessman who has got contracts with state companies honest ? I will be explaining the reasons for my belief that the makers of this ghost haunting the media and the Romanian society are dunces”.
